royal rumble

It’s safe to say that 2025 is going to be an exciting year for WWE fans as Raw is moving to Netflix, John Cena is embarking on a retirement tour, and Goldberg has confirmed that he will be wrestling a retirement match. Nothing has been confirmed just yet, but a few months ago WWE seemingly teased a potential Goldberg vs. Gunther match when they got into a heated confrontation at Bad Blood.

While talking about the age difference between Gunther and Goldberg on Sportskeeda’s WrestleBinge, Gage Goldberg said that he doesn’t know if age is a factor with his dad because he has a switch that can be flipped.

“I know he’s still got it, so. He’s got a little while to prepare, I know he works his butt off in the gym every day. He’s getting his cardio up, I already know that he’s gonna be ready for that fight 100%. I don’t really know if age can be a factor with my dad because he’s just got [points to head], it’s a switch in his head that when it’s flipped, it’s just game over.”

Gage Goldberg also talked about his father’s status for the men’s Royal Rumble match and he noted that while his dad hasn’t told him he’s going to be in the match, he will be ready to go if he gets the call.

“Yes sir. I mean he could for sure. He hasn’t told me that yet, but who knows? He’d definitely do it, he’d be down for anything. They tell him, ‘Okay, you’re gonna fight this guy’, he’s gonna do it 100%. Go in the Royal Rumble? He’s gonna do it.”
