Over the last few months Rey Fenix has been a very hot topic in the wrestling world. Over the summer it was reported that WWE had interesting in Penta and Fenix. A few weeks ago Penta became a free agent, but Rey Fenix’s AEW contract was extended due to injury time.
Recently Rey Fenix got the wrestling world talking when he posted cryptic tweets about his situation, one of which said, “No one stays in a place where they received inhumane treatment.”
Fenix also shared another tweet alluding to a medical situation when he posted, “I needed a doctor and you ignored me for months.” The tweets have since been deleted.
It’s been reported by Dr.Chris Featherstone that there’s a real story behind the Rey Fenix situation, and that The Lucha Bros. are expected to go more in depth when it comes to explaining the situation once they’re free and clear.
During an episode of WrestleVotes radio on Sportskeeda’s Backstage Pass it was reported that there are people in WWE who were surprised by Ren Fenix’s tweets. The belief is that the company is still interested in Fenix, but the tweets raised some eyebrows.
There’s speculation that WWE will do some digging into what’s going on as it’s being said that there are a number of staffers that didn’t really have a pulse on what’s going on with Rey Fenix.
