For weeks now The Original Bloodline has been trying to recruit a fifth member for WarGames, but it seemed that they had exhausted all of their options until Paul Heyman returned this week on SmackDown.
The Wiseman appeared on WWE programming for the first time in months, and he also brought CM Punk with him. Punk helped The Original Bloodline take out The New Bloodline and it was confirmed that he will be The OG Bloodline’s fifth member for WarGames at Survivor Series.
The WRKD Wrestling account is reporting that CM Punk’s temporary alliance with The Original Bloodline will be used as a talking point in his feud with Seth Rollins. The idea is that Punk will cite the fact that he stepped up when Rollins didn’t. According to the report plans call for the feud to build toward a WrestleMania match.
“CM Punk joining Team OG Bloodline will be used as fuel in the Rollins/Punk feud in the future with Punk citing that he stepped up to help when Rollins didn’t. Still heading toward that Mania match. #Smackdown”
