Business has been picking up in the WWE tag team division as of late with the arrival of the Motor City Machine Guns who recently won the WWE Tag Team Championship.

The Street Profits know a thing or two about winning championship gold, but during a recent interview Montez Ford pointed out that it’s been four years since they were champions.

Ford also openly expressed frustration with the lack of momentum for The Street Profits when he said, “All these things are running, we have a WrestleMania win, and then boom, it just stops. And it’s been this constant stop and go and stop and go and stop and go with the Profits where we’ll get momentum and then the momentum will stop, then momentum will start again, and the momentum will stop. And for us, that’s frustrating, because it’s hard to get behind a team whose momentum starts and then it shifts again.”

Angelo Dawkins also got people talking a few weeks ago when he posted the following tweet:

With Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins both openly expressing frustration with their WWE status at the moment fans have been wondering if the former champions could be looking to part ways with the company. However, that doesn’t appear to be the case.

PWInsider is reporting that the comments were likely made to garner attention as both members of The Street Profits are currently locked in to deals with WWE.

According to the report Montez Ford has been working on some outside projects recently. It was noted that he’s one of the WWE talents that signed with Paradigm as part of their sports decision.

The word going around is that there is no belief within WWE that Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins will be leaving WWE.
