There’s been plenty to talk about over the last few days as Crown Jewel aired live from Saudi Arabia, and former Universal Champion Bill Goldberg announced that he will be wrestling a retirement match inside a WWE ring in 2025.
Goldberg teased that Gunther could be a likely opponent for him, but also stated that a date and time is not currently set for his big retirement match. There’s been a lot of speculation regarding when the match could take place as Goldberg said that he has a couple of months to get ready.
F4Wonline.com is reporting that as of right now a Goldberg vs. Gunther match is not scheduled for the Royal Rumble premium live event in February.
Goldberg last wrestled for WWE when he was defeated by Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber in 2022. Since then he’s been very vocal about wanting a retirement match. The Hall of Famer got the world talking last month when he got into a heated exchange with Gunther at Bad Blood, and now all signs point to fans getting a Gunther vs. Goldberg match at some point in the future.
Stay tuned for updates.
