WrestleMania season is still a few months away, but it’s never too early to start talking about what the card could look like. John Cena announced months ago that he will be retiring at the end of 2025 and the former WWE Champion is expected to be in the ring at WrestleMania 41.
John Cena has defeated some of the biggest names in the history of wrestling on the Grandest Stage of Them All, and it sounds like a big WrestleMania match is already being considered for Cena.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that the idea of Cena challenging for one of the world titles has been talked about. The idea going into the match is that Cena would be making an effort to break Ric Flair’s record at WrestleMania.
Currently Cody Rhodes is the Undisputed WWE Champion, and Gunther is the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. At this point in time it’s not clear if Rhodes and Gunther will still be the champions heading into WrestleMania.
One way or another John Cena has stated that he will be looking to work 36 dates with WWE next year, so it will be interesting to see who he ends up facing off against.
Stay tuned for updates.
