It’s been a big week for NXT as the Halloween Havoc premium live event took place over the weekend and the brand is currently building toward the TV taping at the ECW Arena in Philadelphia, PA next week.
Bully Ray made an appearance at Halloween Havoc, Dawn Marie has been announced for next week’s show, and it was recently reported that WWE is trying to get Lita to return to the ring next week. Now it seems that another familiar ECW star could potentially be getting in on the action as well.
Corey Brennan of Fightful Select is reporting that Rob Van Dam is backstage at NXT tonight. Rob Van Dam confirmed that he is under a legends deal with WWE and he recently made an appearance on WWE programming during the September 13 episode of SmackDown.
It’s not clear at this point in time if Rob Van Dam will be making an appearance on tonight’s show, or on NXT programming in the future, but it’s worth noting that Je’Von Evans recently called for a match with the Hall of Famer.
