Over the last few weeks WWE has been teasing the arrival of a new tag team which was rumored to be the Motor City Machine Guns. Ahead of Friday Night SmackDown the rumors were put to rest as WWE posted a video of SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis confirming that Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin had signed with WWE.
Nick Aldis announced that the Motor City Machine Guns would face off against Los Garza and A-Town Down Under in a triple threat match. Aldis then went on to announce that The Street Profits, DIY and Pretty Deadly would also face off in a triple threat match with the winners of each match facing off next week to determine the new number one contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship.
