Randy Orton has been one of the top stars in WWE for decades now, and he’s faced off against some of the biggest names in the business. Earlier this year Randy Orton faced off against Gunther in the King of the Ring finals and Gunther picked up the victory.
Gunther’s big win came with some controversy as the referee counted to three even though Randy Orton’s shoulder wasn’t on the mat. While speaking to Metro, Gunther reflected on the finish while explaining his take on why he was ok with it.
“I was very good with it, because referee’s mistakes happens, and it happens in every sport. It’s part of it. It fuels the involvement in what we do, because it’s frustrating for the competitors.”
“It’s frustrating for the fans, because they think they were about to see something else, or something else should have been the end of this match. And I think without, without that happening, the match [at Bash In Berlin] wouldn’t have happened and would not have meant that much.”
