You never know when you might see a debut on WWE programming as Odyssey Jones recently made his debut on Monday Night Raw. Jones had been involved in a storyline with The New Day, but it appears that storyline has been dropped.
On Monday ahead of Raw fans noticed that Odyssey Jones had been removed from the roster on WWE’s website which led to a lot of speculation regarding his status with the company. Bryan Alvarez has now shared an update on Wrestling Observer Live claiming that he was told WWE has fired Odyssey Jones.
Fightful Select reports that they were given a heads up on Sunday that Odyssey Jones’ status with WWE had changed, but there was no clarification regarding what that meant. It was confirmed on Monday that Odyssey Jones was not at Raw this week, or last week. It was also confirmed that Jones was not included in “immediate creative plans.”
It’s being reported that Odyssey Jones was removed from TV after WWE became aware of domestic violence allegations. At this point in time there’s no word on an arrest of charges related to the situation. Talent who have spoken on the subject had not been informed of the situation involving Odyssey Jones.
Odyssey Jones, real name Omari Jahi Palmer, originally signed with WWE in 2019 and he went on to make his television debut with the company in 2021. Jones was drafted to the Raw brand in 2023 and then drafted to the Raw brand again in 2024, but didn’t debut on the show until last month.
