CM Punk made his big return to WWE back in November of 2023, but he has unfortunately been out of action since January due to an injury he suffered during the 30 man Royal Rumble match.
WrestleVotes reports that as of this week CM Punk’s official return to WWE was listed for the end of July. It was noted that he likely won’t be cleared for the Money in the Bank premium live event next month, but should be ready for SummerSlam in August.
As of last week’s RAW roster sheet, CM Punk’s official return date was set for the end of July. I’m told he likely won’t be cleared for action by MITB on 7/6, but he should be ready for SummerSlam on 8/3.

Even though CM Punk has not been active in the ring over the last few months he has continued his feud with Drew McIntyre by making appearances on WWE programming. Over the weekend CM Punk posed as a referee and interfered in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at Clash at the Castle. Punk hit McIntyre with a low blow which led to Damian Priest retaining his title.
Naturally there’s been a lot of speculation among fans that CM Punk and Drew McIntyre could collide at SummerSlam if Punk is cleared in time. Stay tuned for updates.
