It’s been a big year for WWE contracts as several of the company’s top stars have signed new deals. However, Becky Lynch’s contract is set to expire on June 1st, and as of this writing a new deal has not been signed.
While talking about Becky’s status on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Becky will become a free agent in a few days, and she’s looking to take an extended leave once her deal expires.
“Becky Lynch is taking an extended leave. From what I was told it’s not like a short period of time, she was looking for a long period of time out.
If he [Seth Rollins] is not on the road, it makes sense for her not to be on the road. They can’t be hurting for money or anything where they need it right now. Maybe she’s looking at other things, or maybe she’s not. But she’ll be a free agent a couple of days from now, June 1st.”
Becky Lynch dropped the WWE Women’s World Championship to Liv Morgan at the King and Queen of the Ring event last weekend and she was also defeated by Liv Morgan once again in a steel cage match on Monday Night Raw.
Stay tuned for updates on Becky’s status.
