Drew McIntyre and CM Punk both competed in the 30 man Royal Rumble match on Saturday night, but unfortunately for both men it was Cody Rhodes who picked up the victory.
This week on Monday Night Raw, CM Punk confirmed that he suffered an injury during the Royal Rumble match that will cause him to miss WrestleMania 40. Shortly after Punk confirmed his status for WrestleMania he was interrupted by Drew McIntyre who said that he prayed for CM Punk to suffer an injury. McIntyre then proceeded to attack CM Punk by stomping on his injured arm.
The Scottish Warrior took things one step further when he posted a meme of himself next to a tombstone which reads, “CM Punk’s WrestleMania Main Event 2024-2024.”

Drew also had an interesting response to a tweet from WWE encouraging CM Punk to get well soon.

With CM Punk’s segment on Monday Night Raw a future match between Punk and Drew McIntyre was seemingly set up for CM Punk’s return. However, Drew McIntyre’s future with WWE beyond WrestleMania remains unclear and you can get more on that here.
