Right now all eyes are looking ahead to the Royal Rumble premium live event which is set to take place from Tropicana Field later this month. CM Punk made his big return to WWE back in November at Survivor Series, and he has made it clear that he’s focused on winning the 30 man Royal Rumble match.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that CM Punk is the current favorite to win the men’s Royal Rumble match then go on to challenge Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40 in April.
CM Punk has yet to win a Royal Rumble match, so if he does indeed win the match later this month it will be another accomplishment he can add to his resume. The Second City Saint has also famously made it his goal to main event WrestleMania, and it looks like his deal could finally become a reality this year.
