The thing about WWE is that you never know when a familiar face might return to the company. A few months ago CM Punk returned at Survivor Series, this week The Rock returned at Day 1 Raw, and Awesome Truth also reunited during the show.
It’s looking a lot like 2011 on WWE programming recently and former WWE star Matt Cardona took notice. Cardona was working his way up the card in 2011 as Zack Ryder, and he recently joked on X that his invite to the 2011 reunion apparently got lost in the mail.

I think my invite got lost in the mail to the 2011 reunion.

After getting released a few years ago Matt Cardona hit the ground running and he has since become one of the top stars on the independent scene. Cardona has indicated that he’s open to a WWE return, but so far the company has yet to bring him back.
