CM Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series and in recent weeks there’s been a lot of talk regarding which brand Punk would be signing with. Recently the Second City Saint has made appearances on Raw, SmackDown and NXT, but this week on Monday Night Raw is was confirmed that CM Punk will be exclusive to the red brand moving forward.

It’s no big secret that WWE will be making moves next year as SmackDown will be jumping from FOX to USA Network, and NXT will be jumping from USA to the CW. So far a new home for Raw has not been revealed.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer recently shared an update on the negotiations for Raw’s TV rights and he stated that “things changed greatly” compared to a few weeks ago. Meltzer also claimed that CM Punk is a huge part of the selling point for Raw which could be one of the reasons why WWE made the former World Heavyweight Champion exclusive to the red brand.

“Things are changing greatly. Let’s just say things changed greatly with Raw negotiations from a few weeks ago. And Punk is a huge part of the selling point.”

It’s recently been confirmed that CM Punk will be returning to the ring when he faces Dominik Mysterio at the WWE live event at Madison Square Garden on December 26th, and he will also be facing Dominik at the December 30th WWE live event which is set to take place from the Kia Forum.

Stay tuned for updates.
