CM Punk is back with WWE as he returned to the company at Survivor Series and he made his first appearance on Raw in almost a decade on Monday night. During his promo on Monday, CM Punk said that AJ Lee “sends her regards” and that she’s “fabulous.” It’s been a while since fans have seen AJ Lee on WWE programming and now that Punk is back the wrestling world is wondering if AJ could return too.
PWInsider is reporting that as of right now there have been no discussions of AJ Lee coming in. The former WWE Divas Champion retired years ago due to health reasons. However, it was noted that a cameo appearance might not be out of the question for AJ as there are many talents in the company today who have praised her for influencing their careers.
Back in September of 2021, CM Punk was asked about a potential comeback for AJ Lee, and he ruled out an in-ring return citing that she has a bad neck.
“I just want to say, no. Just because [of] her neck. The reason she stopped wrestling is because of her neck. She’s got a bad neck, you know. I wouldn’t want her to jeopardize [her] health and neither would she, so we’ll put an end to that rumor right now.”
