Last week Crown Jewel aired live from Saudi Arabia and Rey Mysterio put his United States Championship on the line against Logan Paul. At one point during the match one of Logan Paul’s friends handed him some brass knuckles, but Mysterio shoved Logan Paul into the turnbuckle and the brass knuckles fell outside the ring.
Logan Paul’s friend tried to grab the brass knuckles again then Santos Escobar grabbed them and placed them on the mat before chasing Paul’s friend through the crowd. Ultimately Logan Paul used the brass knuckles to win the United States Championship.
This week the LWO kicked off SmackDown and as Rey Mysterio was talking about his loss to Logan Paul he was interrupted by Carlito. When he got on the mic Carlito questioned why no one is talking about the fact that Santos Escobar placed the brass knuckles back on the mat during the US Title match at Crown Jewel. Santos Escobar became frustrated as Carlito brought his loyalty into question. Escobar left through the crowd as Rey Mysterio followed.
Carlito then faced off against Bobby Lashley, but The Street Profits interfered which allowed Lashley to get the win. After the match Lashley & The Street Profits beat Carlito down as Santos Escobar watched on from the mat, but did nothing. Rey Mysterio then made the save with a steel chair.
Rey Mysterio argued with Santos Escobar then shoved him as he told him the LWO is a family. The Hall of Famer checked on Carlito as Escobar started to exit the ring. Santos Escobar then turned around, attacked Rey Mysterio, and pushed Carlito out of the ring.
Escobar picked Mysterio up by the neck, but Rey fought back and slapped Santos a few times then shook his head. Rey went to help Santos Escobar up while he apologized then Escobar shoved him into the ring post. Rey’s leg got caught in the steel ring steps as Escobar attacked him again. Santos Escobar screamed in Rey’s face and told Rey he was his hero while the rest of the LWO separated them.
