Back in November of 2021 WWE decided to release Jaxson Ryker and since then he’s been working the independent scene. However, the former WWE star announced back in May that he was planning to retire. Now it seems that Jaxson Ryker has wrestled his last match.
Jaxson Ryker stepped up to compete at the AWL Wrestling event in Salisbury, NC on Sunday night and after his match he left his boots in the ring signaling that his career is finally over.

Jaxson Ryker (real name Chad Lail) first signed with Impact Wrestling in 2010 and he went on to work with the company as Gunner through 2015. In 2017 Chad Lail signed with WWE and took on the name Jaxson Ryker which he used in NXT.
During his NXT run Jaxson Ryker teamed up with Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler to form The Forgotten Sons. They were called up to the main roster in 2020, but The Forgotten Sons were pulled from TV due to backlash Jaxson Ryker received after posted some political tweets. Ryker made his way back to TV in 2021 when he was paired with Elias, but he was released later that year.
