Professional wrestling certainly isn’t ballet as it’s known to be dangerous and TLC matches often feature some big spots that are designed to get the fans talking. Back in 2015, The New Day, The Lucha Dragons and The Usos faced off in a triple threat TLC match for the WWE Tag Team Championship and it was The New Day who walked out with the gold.
The match was action packed, but there was one big spot that was really over the top. At one point Kalisto and Jey Uso were standing at the top of a ladder, and Kalisto hit Salida Del Sol on Jey Uso sending him crashing through another ladder that was set up below.
During a recent virtual signing for K&S WrestleFest, Kalisto talked a little bit about the reaction to the spot and he noted that Vince McMahon pulled him aside to tell him he’s crazy.
“It was 20 feet up high. I took a small glimpse, looked down, and like ‘Woah, this is pretty high up. It was crazy. Even Vince pulled me aside and was like ‘Hey, you’re f***ing crazy man.’ And I went ‘Oh, okay. Hey, that’s what I do, man. Let me know!'”
Not only did Kalisto shock Vince McMahon, but he also went on to win the Slammy Award for OMG Shocking Moment of the Year, so it seems that the spot worked out well for the former WWE star.
