The Rock is one of the most recognizable celebrities on the planet and it’s safe to say that there are many wrestlers out there who are hoping to achieve that same level of success. Trish Stratus has managed to become an important figure in the history of women’s wrestling and it sounds like The Rock had her back from the very beginning.

The Hall of Famer recently appeared on the Out of Character podcast with Ryan Satin, and she noted that during her early days The Rock pulled her aside and told her that she could be the female Rock.

“The Rock was someone who was really … generous, and [offered] me so much help. He took me aside one time and he said, ‘You could be the female Rock.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah. That sounds good. Yes, I want to do that.'”

Trish Status also credited Vince McMahon as someone who helped her step up as she noted that she had to bring her A-game while working with Vince on screen.

“One of the most valuable things was transitioning into my role with Vince McMahon in the very beginning,” Stratus continued. “[I] showed up, and I had to go to work with the boss every day. I had to bring my A-game.”

Trish Stratus has been appearing on WWE programming in recent weeks hyping up her feud with Becky Lynch. This week on Raw, Lynch returned and attacked Trish Stratus. It’s expected that the two will be facing off at some point with SummerSlam being talked about for a potential Lynch vs. Stratus match.
