We’re less than one week away from the Elimination Chamber premium live event in Montreal and Sami Zayn is set to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. The Usos have obviously been a big part of The Bloodline storyline, but the brothers were seemingly written out of Elimination Chamber last week on SmackDown when Paul Heyman informed Jimmy Uso that The Tribal Chief wants The Usos to stay home.
It was believed that WWE did this because Jimmy Uso would not be allowed to travel to Canada do to his previous DUI arrests. However, that may not be the case.
Dave Meltzer recently noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that he was told both Usos are cleared and ok to travel to Canada. It’s unclear if the angle with The Usos is a swerve or a storyline, but it seems that they’re both cleared for the show if WWE wants to use them.
Bryan Alvarez also noted that The Usos could show up to set up something with Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn for WrestleMania. Kevin Owens hasn’t been seen since the Royal Rumble so there’s speculation that he could return to save Sami at Elimination Chamber depending on how things play out.
