In the world of All Elite Wrestling right now MJF is the man to beat as he’s the current AEW World Champion. Bryan Danielson is looking to challenge MJF for the belt in an Iron Man match at the Revolution pay-per-view in March, but MJF is making Bryan work for it.
Bryan Danielson has been facing off against a series of opponents handpicked by MJF himself, and this week Bryan picked up a win over Brian Cage on Dynamite. However, Bryan’s celebration was short lived as MJF and Brian Cage attacked Danielson after the match and targeted his arm. At one point a steel chair was wrapped around Bryan Danielson’s arm and MJF was just about to stomp on it, but Takeshita made the save.
Backstage a medical official said that Bryan Danielson shouldn’t be wrestling due to the attack on his shoulder. Bryan didn’t react well to that news and he insisted that he will keep wrestling. MJF then followed up by announcing that next week Bryan Danielson will go one on one with Timothy Thatcher.
Thatcher previously wrestled for Evolve before signing with WWE in 2020. He went on to work in NXT before he was released in 2022. A few months later Timothy Thatcher made his debut with Pro Wrestling Noah in June of 2022.
AEW has also announced that Darby Allin will defend the TNT Championship in a No Holds Barred match against Samoa Joe, and Jon Moxley will face off against Adam Page next week on Dynamite. Stay tuned for more updates on Dynamite as they become available.
