Vince McMahon has been the talk of the wrestling world ever since he returned to the WWE Board of Directors last week. Vince has once again been named Executive Chairman, and his daughter Stephanie McMahon announced earlier this week that she has resigned from her role as Co-CEO and Chairwoman of WWE.

It’s certainly no big secret that Vince McMahon returned to WWE with the intention to sell the company, but it doesn’t sound like Triple H and Stephanie are on board with the sale.

Axios is reporting that sources have told them that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon had opposed a sale. When Vince McMahon first returned to WWE he issued a statement praising the current management team, but now that Stephanie has stepped down Nick Khan is the sole CEO of the company.

It’s not known at this point in time who could purchase WWE, or if a sale will definitely happen. When it comes to potential buyers the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund, Comcast, Endeavor and even Tony Khan are said to be interested in exploring the option of a purchase. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
