Sasha Banks has been the talk of the wrestling world for months now as she’s been teasing an in-ring return on social media. Banks and Naomi walked out of Raw back in May and neither of them have wrestled since then. It’s been reported that Sasha Banks became a free agent on January 1, and she’s expected to be at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 this week.
PWInsider is reporting that Naomi is also currently set to be in Japan. New Japan sources did not confirm that they are the ones bringing Naomi in and it was indicated that she coming of her own accord. It was speculated that Naomi may just be attending Wrestle Kingdom 17 to support Sasha Banks and that she won’t be appearing at the event.
Naomi first signed with WWE in 2009 and her current status with the company is unknown. It was noted that both Sasha Banks and Naomi have not been listed on WWE’s internal roster for some time, but they are both still listed on WWE’s official website as of this writing.
