Fans have gotten used to WWE shortening the names of talents and now it looks like another one has gone through a name change. Robert Stone of NXT is now being billed as Mr. Stone, and he referred to himself as such when he posted the following tweet:

Robert Stone’s real name is Robert Strauss. It was recently reported that WWE issued a memo which included an edict from Vince McMahon informing everyone that he doesn’t want talents using their real names anymore, or names they’ve used on the independent scene.
Other talents who have gone through name changes recently include Austin Theory who is now Theory, Tommaso Ciampa who is now Ciampa, Pete Dunne to Butch, and WALTER who is now known as Gunther. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
