Last month at NXT Roadblock Bron Breakker defended the NXT Championship against Tommaso Ciampa and Dolph Ziggler in a triple threat match, and it was Ziggler who walked out with the gold after he pinned Ciampa.
Bron Breakker got a shot at the gold when he challenged Dolph Ziggler in the main event at NXT Stand & Deliver on Saturday night, and he made a statement when he took a chainsaw to the NXT logo as he made his entrance.
Before the match even began Dolph Ziggler got in Breakker’s head when he dropped the belt then slapped Breakker during the ring introductions. Robert Roode interfered in the match early on, but the referee banned him from the ringside area and he made his way to the back.
At one point it looked like the match was over when Breakker pinned Ziggler after hitting the military press powerslam, but Robert Roode returned and pulled Breakker out of the ring. When Breakker got back in the ring Ziggler hit him with the famouser then immediately followed up with the zig-zag. It wasn’t enough as Bron Breakker kicked out to a big reaction.
Ziggler followed up with a top rope elbow, and went for a superkick, but Breakker clotheslined him then connected with a spear. As Breakker went for the military press powerslam again Ziggler hit him with a thumb to the eye then pushed him head first into an exposed turnbuckle. Breakker then walked right into a superkick and Ziggler pinned him to retain.
