Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch are two of the top stars in the WWE women’s division today, but it’s no big secret that they don’t exactly see eye to eye. Tensions between Lynch and Flair hit a breaking point during the belt exchange segment on SmackDown last year, and Lynch went on to defeat Charlotte Flair at Survivor Series.
Following the infamous belt exchange it was reported that Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair got into a heated argument backstage which Lynch herself later confirmed.
During an interview with Ariel Helwani for BT Sport the current Raw Women’s Champion talked about the current state of her relationship with Charlotte Flair, and she indicated that not much has changed.
“I wish the whole thing didn’t go down the way it did. It didn’t need to go down that way, but I don’t really have any regrets on my behalf… Same [relationship with Flair now compared to 2021], same, just pass each other in the hallway. Sometimes [say “hello”], maybe a nod. No [“how are you?” questions].”
Becky Lynch will defend the Raw Women’s Championship against Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 38 this weekend while Charlotte Flair is set to defend the SmackDown Women’s Title against Ronda Rousey. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
