Brock Lesnar last competed when he dropped the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36 last year, and he made his surprise return to WWE last weekend when he confronted Roman Reigns after he defeated John Cena at SummerSlam.
Fightful Select reports that Brock Lesnar’s new deal with WWE is roughly for a year and a half, and it will keep him with WWE through WrestleMania in 2023.
The belief is that the contract is for at least 8 matches, and it was also noted that the terms of the contract are open to change with further negotiations.
It’s expected that Brock’s first match under his new contract will be against Roman Reigns and that Paul Heyman will be a big part of the focus for the build. It’s not clear when the match takes place, but it’s been rumored for Crown Jewel in October, or Survivor Series in November.
