WWE has released some surprising names so far in 2021, and today the company made another shocking announcement when it was revealed that Bray Wyatt has been released from his contract. WWE confirmed the release with the following statement:
“WWE has come to terms on the release of Bray Wyatt. We wish him the best in all his future endeavors.”
Bray Wyatt last competed at WrestleMania 37 when he was defeated by Randy Orton in the opening match of Night 2. It was recently reported that original plans for the match called for Wyatt to win, but plans were changed.
The next night Wyatt appeared in a Firefly Fun House segment on Raw and promised fans a new season of the show, but he never ended up returning to WWE programming.
Wyatt first signed with WWE in 2009 and he went on to become a one time WWE Champion and a two time Universal Champion. Stay tuned for more updates.
