Over the last few years fans have seen quite a few former Impact Wrestling stars join NXT, and some of them have even managed to make it to the WWE main roster.
Fightful Select is now reporting that WWE was interested in signing self proclaimed former TNA World Champion Moose when his contract with Impact Wrestling was reaching its expiration date.
According to the report WWE was interested in Moose not only for NXT, but also possibly for the main roster as well as there was talk of him bypassing NXT and heading straight to Raw or SmackDown.
However, WWE’s interest in Moose never went anywhere as Impact Wrestling managed to sign him to a new deal before WWE could make an offer.
WWE previously showed interest in Moose back in 2016 following his departure from ROH. His new deal with Impact will keep him with the company until 2023.
