It’s been quite the year for WWE as the company has already released a number of talents, and today the releases continued. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful and PWInsider broke news of several releases, and so far a total of 14 talents have been let go including the following names:
Tino Sabbatelli, Killian Dain, Sunil Singh, Samir Singh, Marina Shafir, Arturo Ruas, Curt Stallion, Fandango, Tyler Breeze, Chase Parker, Matt Martel, Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari and August Grey.
According to Fightful Select, WWE President & Chief Revenue Officer Nick Khan held a meeting at WWE HQ and made decisions on which talents would be cut. It was also noted that several of the 205 Live talents who got released were on higher contracts than WWE had been giving out for that brand recently.
Jon Alba is reporting that the releases were due to budget cuts.
WWE is releasing more personnel today. Unsure of who.
This is a continues the cost-cutting by the company we've seen the last couple of months.
I believe it was @AndrewZarian who reported earlier this month more releases would be coming. #WWE https://t.co/ZsFblO6doe
