WWE’s website reports that Bad News Barrett underwent surgery today to repair his injured shoulder, suffered when he was thrown into the fan barrier by Jack Swagger on the June 27th SmackDown.
The surgery was performed by Dr. Jeff Dugas in Birmingham, Alabama. WWE’s Dr. Chris Amann said:
“Bad News Barrett underwent a ligament reconstruction in his shoulder, as well as a distal clavicle resection, where the end of the collar bone is shaved off. The operation went very well, he’s resting comfortably.”
Barrett is expected to be out for several months.
