the undertaker

Last year fans were treated to something that had been billed as a dream match when it was announced that Goldberg and The Undertaker would be facing off at WWE Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia.

It’s no big secret that both Undertaker and Goldberg are past their prime, and unfortunately the match did not go well for a number of reasons.

There were several botches throughout the match, and at one point The Undertaker was dropped on his head while Goldberg was trying to hit him with the Jackhammer.

Taker recently opened up about the match during an episode of the Pardon My Take podcast, and he said the bump was a couple inches away from being “catastrophic.”

“Obviously, I’ve had a few recently. The bump that I had in Saudi when I was working with Goldberg, I think that one was a couple of inches from being catastrophic. The way I hit on that one, it kind of set out nerve impulses to all of my injuries at once. It was like an electrical charge went through my body.”

For obvious reasons the match was not well received, and Taker ended up returning to the ring not long after when he teamed with Roman Reigns to face Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre at Extreme Rules last year.

He last competed when he faced off against AJ Styles in the first ever Boneyard Match at WrestleMania 36 where The Phenom picked up the victory by burying AJ Styles alive.
