Wednesday was a sad day for many people as WWE released quite a few names due to budget cuts caused by the coronavirus.

AEW World Champion Jon Moxley parted ways with WWE last year, but he recently appeared on Wrestling Observer Live to talk about the recent WWE releases.

Moxley said that his heart goes out to everyone who has been affected by the craziness of the pandemic, and that he refuses to feel sorry for himself.

“I heard a bunch of news through the grapevine, people in our business got unfortunate phone calls this morning, so it’s a weird time. I’m feeling very fortunate. I was not, or I will not, for a second feel sorry for myself, like poor me, during this craziness because I’ve got it pretty good, all things considered.”

He went on to say that he’s hanging out with Renee Young, who’s his favorite person anyway, and he shed some light on what they’ve been doing during their downtime.

“We’re just hanging out, getting it on all over the house all day, watching movies, and she’s got some cooking projects she’s experimenting with. So, I’m basically hanging out and having a beautiful woman feed me meals every day. No matter how the World Title match turns out tonight, I feel like a World Champion and I am very blessed at this time.”

Moxley went on to successfully defend his AEW World Title against Jake Hager on AEW Dynamite this week.

AEW recently confirmed that they will be moving forward with the Double or Nothing PPV next month, although it will no longer take place from the MGM Grand. Stay tuned for updates on the show.
