The coronavirus has all but crippled the entertainment industry at this point as events are being canceled at a rapid pace in response to the pandemic.
Now WWE’s upcoming live events this weekend have been canceled, and the Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto, Canada issued the following statement:
“The WWE Live Road to WrestleMania SuperShow event scheduled for this Saturday, March 14 at Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto has been cancelled. Refunds are available at all points of purchase.”
Likewise, the live event at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown, OH has also been canceled, and the venue issued the following statement:
“In accordance with the proclamation issued by Governor DeWine, the WWE live event scheduled for this Sunday, March 15 in Youngstown, Ohio has been canceled. Refunds are available at all points of purchase.”
As noted, this week’s episode of SmackDown has been moved from Detroit to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, and the event will take place with no audience.
