2014 was a good year for some and a not so great year for others. The new year provides a fresh start and new opportunities for the superstars of the WWE to shatter the glass ceiling. We’re betting on these 7 wrestlers to make the most of 2015 and we’re hoping they prove us right.
Daniel Bryan has already been to the top of the mountain but unfortunately for him, his time there was cut short. Now he’s back for redemption and the fans are still behind him. We all know that Daniel Bryan has what it takes to be the top guy, and if his health holds up, he’ll be looking to make 2015 the best year of his career so far.
If this man proved anything in 2014 it’s that he can take whatever turd of a gimmick WWE gives him and turn it into solid gold. The cream always rises to the top and Mizdow has taken terrible gimmick after terrible gimmick and become one of the most popular guys on the roster. He might not make it to main event status but you can count on his popularity to continue to soar into the new year.
Ryback had a bit of a rough 2014. It definitely didn’t start well for him but he ended the year on a high note. Like him or hate him, you can’t deny that Ryback has what it takes to become the type of main eventer WWE’s been looking for. His recent return to his old gimmick has gotten the fans behind him once again and the WWE machine seems to be behind him as well. 2014 may not have been Ryback’s year but 2015 is going to be a different story.
Bray Wyatt has accomplished quite a bit in his short time on the main roster. Many people think WWE has buried him but they forget that he really hasn’t been a member of the WWE main roster for very long. Rumor has it Bray is being groomed for a WrestleMania match against The Undertaker which definitely isn’t something to take lightly. Bray continues to maximize his minutes and it wouldn’t be all that surprising to see him capture championship gold in 2015.
Whether you like it or not, Roman Reigns has been hand selected by WWE officials to be the next top guy. He might not be ready for it yet but he’s getting better every week. At this point the only person that can prevent Roman from making a big splash in 2015 is Roman himself.
What a difference a few weeks can make. Dolph Ziggler has always put on stellar matches but the WWE machine has never really been behind him. That seems to be changing as Dolph has picked up major momentum since Survivor Series. He’s had a lot of false starts in his career but that hasn’t stopped him from stealing the show time and time again. We say this every year but this time we really feel like 2015 will be the year of Dolph Ziggler.
Dean Ambrose is one of the most unique members of the WWE roster and he’s become a fan favorite since going solo. It doesn’t matter where he is on the card, it’s must see TV. Dean continues to work hard and impress the fans and we’re willing to bet he’s impressing quite a few people backstage as well. 2015 is going to be one heck of a year for Ambrose and we’re willing to bet he’ll win the big one sooner than later.
He may have been the one that most people thought least likely to succeed after The Shield split but those people couldn’t have been more wrong. Seth Rollins is currently the top heel in the WWE and it’s almost a given that he’s going to become WWE Champion in 2015. Seth Rollins has definitely played his cards right and he’s earned the spot he’s in at the moment. He’s pretty high up in the WWE pecking order but we expect him to go much higher in the new year.
