WWE has been telling us that we’re seeing the dawn of a new era as of late and many aspects of the WWE product certainly feel fresh. There are a lot of great and talented people getting pushed right now and it’s been a lot of fun watching all their hard work pay off. But there are still quite a few talented members of the roster that seem to be getting left out in the cold. There’s only room for so many at the top, and it’s impossible to push everyone at the same time. But it’s still hard not to feel like these WWE Superstars could be doing so much more right now.
#7 – Titus O’Neil
Titus O’Neil recently returned to the ring and wrestled a dark match against Tyler Breeze. According to fans in attendance Titus got a big pop from the crowd and he looked good in his return match.
Titus is just as athletic as he is charismatic and he’s got the fans are behind him right now due to his recent suspension. He’s been a really good sport about his suspension and he’s been an asset to WWE throughout his career thanks to his work inside the ring and all the charity work he does.
WWE probably won’t ever push Titus to the moon, but they could certainly do a little more with him than they’re doing right now. He’s proved in the past that he’s a great for the WWE’s tag team division and the tag team division seems to be thriving right now. Maybe it’s time for Titus to get a new partner and try his hand at tag team wrestling once again.
#6 – Tyler Breeze
Tyler Breeze seemed to be on a roll when he debuted on the main roster. He jumped right into a feud with Dolph Ziggler and he was featured prominently on WWE programming. But after his feud with Ziggler ended he’s kind of fallen by the wayside.
Breeze has a gimmick that definitely has a place on the WWE roster. His arrogance and looks generate heat from the audience and he backs it up with his performance in the ring. Somebody’s missing the boat on Tyler Breeze. But hey, at least his tag team with R-Truth looks promising right?
#5 – Damien Sandow
Damien Sandow has proved time and time again that he can take whatever sh*t WWE gives him and turn it into gold. This guy can get just about any gimmick over no matter how over the top or ridiculous it is. Sandow is one of the most diverse talents on the roster and he can fill many different roles within the company.
Damien Sandow is a guy that gives it his all every single time he steps in the ring and the fans love him for it. This guy needs some TV time, even if it means he has to work with a stupid gimmick to get it. Because like we already established, Damien Sandow can take a stupid gimmick and make it entertaining.
#4 – Rusev
Remember how damn awesome Rusev was leading up to WrestleMania 31? Rusev was once a dominant heel and at one point it looked like he was on track to become the top heel in the company. Unfortunately one thing led to another and his momentum slowed down tremendously.
WWE is always in need of good heels and Rusev is a great heel. Now that the League of Nations has broken up there’s never been a better time for Rusev to step back into the spotlight.
#3 – Paige
Paige is just too damn good to be sitting on the sidelines any longer. She’s proved that she can work as a face or a heel and there are plenty of talented women she could be working with.
Charlotte and Natalya are holding things down with the Women’s Championship right now so it doesn’t look like she’ll be getting a title shot anytime soon. In the meantime Paige could be feuding with Becky Lynch, Emma, Sasha Banks, Naomi or one of the other talented women on the roster. But instead she’s just not, and we’re all missing out.
#2 – Zack Ryder
Wow, what the heck happened to Zack Ryder’s Cinderella story? Ryder’s big comeback certainly didn’t last long. Zack won the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 32, lost it the next night to The Miz, then he disappeared again shortly after that. But what gives?
Zack Ryder has proved he can get the fans on his side. He’s proved he can create memorable moments. He’s proved he’s marketable and he’s proved that he can get it done in the ring. Still, despite his best efforts, Zack just can’t seem to get the powers that be on his side.
#1 – Sasha Banks
Crowds all across the world have been chanting “We want Sasha!” for a while now. The chants continue but the fans still aren’t getting what they want. Sasha hasn’t been doing much since WrestleMania 32 but despite the fact that she hasn’t been featured as prominently on TV, the fans haven’t forgotten about her one bit.
Sasha Banks is one of the most developed female wrestlers on the WWE roster at the moment. She is for lack of a better word, “legit.” Sasha needs her time to shine and there’s no reason to wait any longer. She doesn’t need to be in the title picture, but she does need to be on TV every week.
