5 WWE Superstars We Want To See Challenge Seth Rollins For The WWE Championship

0

Seth Rollins is set to go one on one with Kane at Hell in a Cell and it’s probably safe to say that Kane isn’t walking out with the WWE Championship. After Hell in a Cell Seth is going to need some fresh challengers. Here are 5 WWE Superstars we would like to see challenge Seth Rollins for the WWE Championship.

#5 – Ryback

Ryback vs. Seth Rollins - Champion vs. Champion Match: Raw, Sept. 7, 2015

Ryback has been out of the main event scene for quite some time now. But he’s proved in the past that he can easily get the fans on his side when he’s on the hunt for the WWE Championship. Ryback has had his run ins with Seth Rollins but he hasn’t challenged for a World Championship in quite a while. Seeing Ryback going toe to toe with the WWE Champion for the richest prize in the game would be a welcome change.

#4 – Dolph Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler vs. Seth Rollins: Raw, April 20, 2015

Dolph Ziggler and Seth Rollins have had quite a few matches since Seth Rollins joined The Authority, but Dolph just can’t seem to get that title shot. Much like Ryback, it’s been a long time since we’ve seen Dolph challenge for the most important belt in the wrestling industry. Giving Dolph a title shot would be fun for the fans. He doesn’t have to win, but if you let us believe that he might for a second become WWE Champion, there’s a good chance it will make for some memorable television.

#3 – The Undertaker

The Undertaker, Kane and Daniel Bryan fend off The Shield: Raw, April 8, 2013

The Undertaker has been coming out of the shadows a lot more this year, so why not sign him up for a pay-per-view main event with Seth Rollins. The Undertaker proved during his match with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam that he can still hang despite his age. Any match involving The Undertaker is must see television but adding the WWE Championship into the mix would raise the stakes as high as they can possibly go.

#2 – Cesaro

Cesaro vs. Seth Rollins: SmackDown, July 30, 2015

No matter how hard he works, Cesaro just can’t seem to get the suits in the back on his side. When he’s given the time to shine it’s obvious that the fans are behind Cesaro, so what does the company have to lose by giving him a title shot? A WWE Championship match on Raw could go a long way in establishing Cesaro as a top guy. Even if he doesn’t win, the reaction from the fans might be enough to prove to the powers that be once and for all that Cesaro does indeed connect with the WWE audience.

#1 – Triple H

Triple H confronts Seth Rollins: Raw, April 20, 2015

The tension between Seth Rollins and Triple H has been brewing for a while now and eventually it has to lead to a match. Seeing Seth Rollins face off against Triple H would be a true clash of generations. Of course we certainly don’t need to see Triple H win another World Championship anytime soon, but if Seth could somehow pull off a victory over his mentor, his stock in WWE would rise quite a bit.
