5 Things To Look Forward To At WrestleMania 31

WrestleMania 31 is just around the corner and there’s a lot to look forward to. New stars will rise and old stars will return for the biggest show of the year. If you need a reason to get excited for WrestleMania 31, we’ve got five of them right here.

#5 – Rusev Getting His Chance To Shine On The Grandest Stage Of Them All

It’s crazy to think that Rusev has only been on the main roster for a year because he’s come such a long way in a short amount of time. When he first debuted on the main roster it was tough to take him seriously. His gimmick seemed a little dated and he came off a little goofy but he has really come into his own over the past few months. Rusev has taken a gimmick that could have killed someone else’s career and turned it into one of the most interesting things about WWE at the moment.

Rusev has stepped up to the plate big time in every high pressure situation WWE has put him in and you can expect him to do the same at WrestleMania 31. He’s got a WrestleMania veteran in John Cena to help guide him through his first big match at the show of shows, so expect them both to pull out all the stops. If you’re looking for a technical masterpiece, this match isn’t going to be it. But these two are going to hit each other hard and give the fans something they will remember without a doubt.

#4 – The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal

It’s been discussed over and over again how poorly this year’s Royal Rumble match was booked so expect WWE to try and make up for it with the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. The first one was a big hit last year and it seemed like the talent had a lot more freedom than they usually do in the Royal Rumble. Most of the people in this match are only getting one chance to show the world what they’ve got at WrestleMania and win or lose everyone involved wants to be the guy that the fans are talking about when the match is over. This battle royal should be a lot of fun and we’re looking forward to seeing how creative everyone gets on their quest to make a name for themselves.

#3 – The Intercontinental Championship Match Stealing The Show

It may not be the last match on the card but make no mistake about it, this match is the main event. This match will feature some of WWE’s most talented performers as they try to climb the ladder both literally and figuratively in an effort to have the match of the night and they will succeed. This contest has instant classic written all over it and you can tell that everyone involved is having a lot of fun with this storyline.

It’s been a long time since the Intercontinental Championship has been given the respect it deserves at WrestleMania and WWE needed something to fill the void that had been left by money in the bank when it became its own pay-per-view. Here they kill two birds with one stone and pack Daniel Bryan, Bad News Barrett, Dean Ambrose, Stardust, R-Truth, Dolph Ziggler and Luke Harper into what will be the most glorious looking car wreck you have ever seen. This match will indeed steal the show, we can guaran-damn-tee it.

#2 – The Theatricality Of Bray Wyatt Vs The Undertaker

The Undertaker and Bray Wyatt are without a doubt a match made in WrestleMania heaven. Two different generations of fear will cross paths on the grandest stage of them all and it will be a spectacle. These men have been laying it on thick with the theatrics for both of their respective wrestling careers, so it will be nice to watch them try to outdo each other. Bray Wyatt isn’t afraid of The Undertaker and we know that The Undertaker isn’t afraid of anything, so when you put these two together you’re going to get something truly special.

The entrances are likely to be the most grandiose entrances of the night and seeing these over the top characters clash will be a once in a lifetime experience. The streak may be over but when it’s all said and done this contest has a good chance at being one of The Undertaker’s most memorable WrestleMania matches.

#1 – Sting’s First Ever WWE Match

Everyone said that it would never happen and that we would never, ever see Sting wrestle in WWE, let alone at WrestleMania. Well guess what? It’s about to happen and he’s going to wrestle a WrestleMania veteran that will make him look like the legend that he truly is.

Sting and Triple H have done so much with so little when it comes to their feud. They’ve only come face to face a few times but the tension between these two is at a boiling point and we can’t wait to see them go to war. These two legendary performers have managed to tell a great story that spans generations with the buildup to this match and there’s little doubt that the payoff is going to be absolutely phenomenal.

There are a lot of reasons to be excited for the match itself but simply seeing Sting walk down the WrestleMania entrance ramp is worth the price of the pay-per-view alone. Not only will this match allow you to watch two legends go to war, you’ll be able to witness wrestling history with your own two eyes as Sting goes bell to bell in a WWE ring. Sting wrestling his first WWE match will be a moment that proves once and for all that when it comes to the wrestling business, you can never say never.
