Live performances at WrestleMania are often hit or miss. Wrestling fans are a tough crowd and if you interrupt the show for any reason they don’t take too kindly to that. It’s tough to please the wrestling faithful but these 5 musical acts managed to do just that without taking anything away from the show.
#5 – Saliva: WrestleMania X8
Saliva kicked off WrestleMania X8 with a bang when they performed their song “Superstar.” It’s tough to get the crowd into musical performances at WrestleMania X8 but this one seemed to get a great response from the audience. Another obstacle that’s often an issue for bands performing at WrestleMania is sound problems. All too often a bad mix can kill a live performance at the big event but Saliva got lucky this time because the sound guy was on point and the mix was smooth.
#4 – Mark Crozer And The Rels: WrestleMania XXX
This is easily the most unique musical performance to ever take place at WrestleMania. Mark Crozer and The Rels really added to the atmosphere of The Wyatt Family and helped to make their entrance one of the most memorable moments of WrestleMania XXX. Although not a hard rock band by any means Mark Crozer and The Rels “killed it” as they say.
#3 – The Chris Warren Band: WrestleMania 14
The D-Generation X entrance music is one of the most iconic entrance songs in wrestling history and you’ve got to give credit to the Chris Warren Band for bringing it to life. DX was a huge part of pop culture at the time that WrestleMania 14 took place and having a live band perform their entrance song only made them seem that much cooler.
#2 – Living Colour: WrestleMania 29
When it comes to live performances at WrestleMania, the greatness of this performance is undeniable. Living Colour tore the house down right in their own backyard as CM Punk made his entrance. This performance is full of charisma and high in intensity. Thanks to Living Colour CM Punk was able to have arguably the best entrance at WrestleMania 29.
#1 – Motorhead: WrestleMania X7
Motorhead performed Triple H’s entrance music at both WrestleMania X7 and WrestleMania 21, both times with great success. You can’t argue with the fact that Triple H’s entrance music is just straight up bad ass and adding a live element to his entrance only serves to add to The Game’s aura. Although Motorhead seems to encounter some sound problems here with a little feedback, they manage to overcome any minor setbacks with face melting rock and roll.
