Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns have had their hands full since Bray Wyatt has found a new follower by the name of Braun Strowman. Luke Harper, Bray and Strowman have decimated the former Shield members the past two weeks and it only seems right that the pair adds a third member to their team. With Seth Rollins currently entangled in the WWE World Heavyweight Title scene, hopes for a Shield reunion are a stretch at best. So lets look at who else the two drinking buddies could potentially have by their sides.
5. Erick Rowan
Erick Rowan has been out of action with a torn bicep but what better way to reintroduce the 6’8″ 315 pound mammoth human being, than to have him help destroy the very faction that brought him to prominence. He would add quite a different dynamic to the Ambrose/Reigns pairing as well. Rowan could be the added muscle that Ambrose and Reigns could need to help topple the new Wyatt Family.
4. Finn Bálor
Current NXT Champion Finn Bálor could call upon his inner demon to help strike fear into the otherwise fearless trio of the Wyatts. A nice way to bring him to the main roster and insert him into a high profiled feud. Bálor is a force inside the squared circle and could bring a similar type feel to the former Shield members. Bálor works at a fast paced, high octane and hard hitting style much like Seth Rollins. Ambrose and Reigns could instantly feel a sense of comfort, knowing what Bálor brings to the table.
3. Ryback
It’s very possible that Ryback wants another chance to rip Bray Wyatt apart. Plus, Ryback’s sheer power could help to fend off the mass that is known as Braun Strowman. Ryback is the Intercontinental Champion and he would bring instant credibility to the Reigns/Ambrose team. The Big Guy is well versed in tag team wrestling (once a part of the legendary tag team known as RYBAXEL) so he can call upon his knowledge of relying on a partner to hold up their end of the bargain. The Big Guy is always looking to be fed more, The Wyatt Family could be what fills him up.
2. Samoa Joe
The Samoan who is well-versed in submissions could be just the guy they’re looking for. Samoa Joe’s mean streak is legendary. Never one to back down from a fight, Joe could thrive against three of the bigger men that WWE has to offer. Joe is ready for the main roster, and quite possibly ready to be a main eventer. There is no doubt that Joe will find instant chemistry with Reigns and Ambrose. It could be just the opening he needs to leave his mark on WWE.
1. Daniel Bryan
Daniel Bryan has been cleared to wrestle but WWE has been cautious with the man formerly known as the American Dragon. Concussion lawsuits against the company have resulted in WWE taking extra precautions with its stars. A safe way to allow Bryan get back in the flow of things would be to have him work as a member of a team. He would be taking less bumps than if he was to come back and be thrusted into a singles program with someone. Bryan helped put Roman over, while the Samoan was on his way to Main Eventing Wrestlemania. He also has a past with the Wyatts. The storylines are there. If you want to add some fuel to this feud and give the newest member of the Wyatt Family credibility, you allow WWE’s “YES” man to make his comeback at the hands of the three bearded weirdos.
