One thing is for sure, whatever WWE is doing with NXT, it’s working. WWE has taken the concept of a developmental territory and perfected it. Not only is NXT a developmental territory but many people consider it to be its own brand and it could be argued that the action in NXT is better than the action on the main roster. WWE has done a great job of putting talent through the NXT system and turning them into stars. NXT has given us some great wrestlers so far and there’s many more looking to make an impact in WWE. Here are 5 NXT superstars we think we’ll see on the WWE main roster sooner than later.
#5 – The Ascension

We know this list is supposed to be about only 5 superstars but since The Ascension is such a cohesive unit, we feel like we can get away with this entry.
The WWE main roster seems to be lacking in the tag team department lately. But one thing is for sure, The Ascension is holding it down in NXT. The current NXT Tag Team Champions, The Ascension is a team made up of two powerhouses known as Konnor and Viktor. They are the longest reigning NXT Tag Team Champions and they’re currently dominating the tag team division in the NXT arena.
The WWE main roster is in desperate need of more tag teams and The Ascension is rumored to get called up before the end of the year. One look at Konnor and Viktor and you can’t help but get excited at the thought of an extended feud between them and Harper and Rowan.
#4 – Tyler Breeze

He may look a little silly but as they say, looks can be deceiving. Tyler Breeze plays a self obsessed character which is just obnoxious. The fact that we find it so obnoxious means he’s doing it right. Once you get past the gimmick you realize that this guy can really go in the ring and his recent matches on NXT have given him a great opportunity to showcase his ability. Tyler has a great in ring style that is going to fit well on the main roster when he makes his way up.
#3 – Charlotte

Charlotte is the current NXT Women’s Champion and she’s also the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair. Charlotte has the business in her blood and all of her father’s charisma. To top it all off she’s a great wrestler. Charlotte is the type of WWE Diva we want to see more of on the main roster and judging from her recent matches, it’s only a matter of time before we get what we want.
#2 – Adrian Neville

There’s a reason why the current NXT World Heavyweight Champion is nicknamed “The Man That Gravity Forgot” and that’s because he very literally defies gravity. Adrian Neville made a big name for himself on the independent scene wrestling as PAC and WWE took notice. Since making his debut in NXT he’s stolen the show more than a few times and it didn’t take him long to climb the ladder. He’s the current NXT World Heavyweight Champion but it’s not hard to believe that he could be holding gold on the main roster in the next year or so.
#1 – Sami Zayn

It’s hard to believe that Sami Zayn hasn’t been called up to the WWE main roster yet but we’re waiting patiently for the moment he arrives. Sami Zayn worked his way through the independent scene as El Generico and the reputation he built there certainly precedes him. This man oozes talent and charisma without a doubt.
Sami Zayn’s feud with Antonio Cesaro had a lot of people saying those two put on the match of the year in 2013. That’s really saying something considering it took place in NXT and not on the WWE main roster. We can’t wait to see those two feud on the big stage and when Sami Zayn finally gets called up there will be no limit to the success he will be able to achieve in WWE. This man is a superstar in the making and it’s only a matter of time before the whole world knows it.
