The WWE roster is filled with great talent at the moment and the WWE Divas division is no exception. There are a lot of potentially great feuds in the division that are seemingly being overlooked at the moment. AJ Lee did an amazing job carrying the division for the better part of a year and Paige is doing a great job picking up where she left off. The problem with the division isn’t a lack of talent, it’s a lack of focus on legitimate feuds. Here are 5 potential feuds we would love to see in the WWE Divas division.
#5 – AJ Lee Vs Tamina
This one is fairly obvious. WWE was building toward this feud for a long time but unfortunately there was no payoff due to AJ Lee taking some time away from WWE. Tamina spent months as AJ’s bodyguard and nothing ends a good bodyguard storyline than a feud between the protector and the protected.
The potential for this feud is still there because these two now have a history together but as to whether or not it will be revisited when AJ Lee returns is questionable at best.
#4 – Paige Vs Natalya
Natalya is a great wrestler but for some reason she just hasn’t made as much of an impact on the WWE Divas division as most people thought she would. Since breaking away from The Hart Dynasty years ago she’s been mostly lost in the shuffle which is a shame considering her ability.
Along comes Paige, a fresh young face from NXT who won the WWE Divas Championship in her first match on the main roster, which from a storyline perspective could be a great way to setup a feud between these two. Natalya has worked hard in an attempt to rise to the top of the WWE Divas division but to no avail. Having Natalya turn heel stating that she’s angry that such a young up and comer is getting the opportunities she’s worked so hard for could be sports entertainment gold.
#3 – Paige Vs Emma
There’s not really too much to say here. These two have already proved that they can put on a great feud thanks to their work in NXT. The fact that they seem to be pretty good friends is a big help as well. Paige and Emma work great in the ring together and it’s one of those feuds where just about any type of storyline would work. This feud is about their work in the ring and both have proved that when they’re put together, they can deliver.
#2 – Brie Bella Vs Nikki Bella
Honestly, we would hate to see The Bella Twins breakup but it’s hard to deny that it could potentially make for some compelling television. These two have been a duo for most of their WWE careers and a feud between the two could make for some great drama in the WWE Divas division.
Interest in The Bella Twins has never been higher thanks to Total Divas and they’ve managed to build a fanbase that is now tuning into WWE programming to see them. Seeing them together is no doubt a highlight for fans of Total Divas (trust me they do exist) and seeing them go against each other would force the Bella fans to pick a side. The feud has a lot of possibilities such as carrying it over to Total Divas, getting John Cena and Daniel Bryan involved and more. Will this ever happen? It’s doubtful and to be honest, we don’t necessarily want it to happen but the very thought of it is something new and exciting for the division.
#1 – Paige Vs AJ Lee
A few months ago former WWE Diva Maria Kanellis said “AJ…AJ is a great Joker. The Divas division needs a Batman.” That statement couldn’t be any more true and from where we’re sitting it appears that Paige could be the Batman that AJ Lee’s Joker needs. AJ Lee ran the WWE Divas division for almost a year and did an amazing job. AJ was the only real character in the division that was interesting and the only problem with her title reign is she didn’t really have any clear rivals with the exception of Kaitlyn.
Paige debuting the night after WrestleMania XXX and beating AJ for the WWE Divas Championship left us with a feud that still hasn’t had a resolution. AJ stepped away from WWE to take some time off and still hasn’t been granted her rematch. AJ is a great villain and since winning the title Paige has proved she’s great at playing the good guy. Seeing these two try to one up each other week after week is not only the feud that the WWE Divas division deserves, it’s also the feud it needs right now.
