A lot goes on in the life of a wrestler and a lot goes into creating some of your favorite characters.
Many performers will leave behind a legacy in the WWE and many different accomplishments.
Here we take a look at 5 things you might not know about some of your favorite wrestlers.
5. The Great Khali
Would you believe us if we told you that The Great Khali was once a police officer back in India? Well it’s true. This giant was once a member of the Punjab state police force. Could y0u imagine this guy chasing after you with a gun?
4. Shelton Benjamin And Brock Lesnar
Most people don’t know that Shelton Benjamin and Brock Lesnar were roommates at the University of Minnesota. Shelton helped Brock out quite a bit with his wrestling training and the two have even held the OVW tag team titles together three times.
3. Shawn Michaels
Shawn Michaels may be known as Mr. WrestleMania but he also holds the record for forfeiting the most titles in WWE history. Michaels has forfeited the WWE title once, the IC title twice, the tag titles three times and the European championship once. It looks like throughout his illustrious career HBK lost more than his smile…he lost his gold.
2. Brodus Clay
He may be a funkasaurus now but at one point Brodus Clay was about as gangster as they come thanks to the fact that he was Snoop Dogg’s bodyguard. Brodus put his life on the line to protect Tha Doggfater so maybe Snoop Dogg could repay the favor and help Brodus get a new gimmick.
1. Stone Cold Steve Austin
Stone Cold Steve Austin gave the word “What?” a whole new life when he incorporated it into his promos but do you know how Stone Cold came up with “What?” in the first place? Stone Cold was making a call to Christian and got forwarded to Christian’s voicemail. While leaving the voicemail Steve Austin started saying “What?” after every sentence. He later thought about how funny it was and began using it on TV and crowds still say “What?” to this day.
