Chris Jericho was given a great opportunity on Raw this week, but unfortunately he wasn’t able to capitalize on it. General Manager Mick Foley and Stephanie McMahon made their way to the ring on Raw to give their Hell in a Cell address, and they made a few announcements.
They confirmed that Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte for the Raw Women’s Championship, and the Universal Championship match featuring Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins will also take place inside the cell.
Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens interrupted McMahon and Foley, and then an interesting announcement was made. Stephanie McMahon announced that if Chris Jericho could defeat Seth Rollins in the main event of Raw, he would be added to the Universal Championship match at Hell in a Cell.
Jericho and Rollins faced off in the main event, and throughout the match Jericho targeted Seth Rollins’ ribs. The end came when Rollins tried to hit the Pedigree on Jericho, but Jericho tired to reverse it into the Walls of Jericho. Rollins then countered with a roll up for the win.
After the match Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho tried to beat Rollins down, but Seth got the upper hand. Kevin Owens retreated and left the ring leaving Jericho by himself. Rollins hit Jericho with the Pedigree and he had a stare down with Owens to end the show.
