The Royal Rumble is only a few weeks away and it’s quickly becoming one of the most anticipated Royal Rumble matches in history. There’s a decent amount of fresh talent that could win the big one this year and a lot of different directions WWE could go.
Who will be the last man standing at the Royal Rumble? We’ll have to wait a few weeks to find out for sure but we’re hoping it’s one of these 4 men.
#4 – Dean Ambrose
It’s been one hell of a year for Dean Ambrose. Sure his record when it comes to pay-per-view matches was pretty bad in 2014 but he entertained the hell out of us and that’s what mattered most. He had some of the more memorable feuds, matches and segments of 2014 so it’s safe to say that 2015 will be a huge year for him. Dean Ambrose is a pretty vital part of the WWE roster at the moment and a Royal Rumble win definitely isn’t out of the question.
Seth Rollins cashing in Money in the Bank at the Royal Rumble leading to Ambrose vs Rollins for the title is a pretty ideal situation for WrestleMania. The feud was arguably the best feud of 2014 and it still hasn’t been blown off yet. Seeing Dean Ambrose get the upper hand on his arch nemesis with a WrestleMania victory would be a nice moment for the fans and Dean himself.
#3 – Roman Reigns
If you want to believe the rumors, this is a foregone conclusion and Roman Reigns has already won the Royal Rumble. It just hasn’t happened yet. The fans have been debating for months arguing over whether Roman is ready or not, but if he does win, will it really be that bad? Sure he’s still developing but it will be nice to see something fresh if he gets the big win at the Royal Rumble.
Roman Reigns is a powerhouse and if he ends up going toe to toe with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania it would definitely get your attention. Someone needs to end the reign of terror (and lackluster title reign) that Brock Lesnar is currently on and Roman might just be the guy to do it.
#2 – Dolph Ziggler
The fans have been waiting for WWE to pull the trigger on Dolph Ziggler for a long time. He’s had so many false starts in his career that it’s truly now or never if they want to make him a main eventer. Dolph has proved himself time and time again, it’s the company’s time to step up as we all know Dolph can deliver.
Dolph has a lot of heart and that could carry him to a Royal Rumble win. Best case scenario for Dolph, he wins the Royal Rumble, John Cena wins the title at the rumble then those two face off at WrestleMania. Dolph could then beat the face of the WWE and Cena could officially pass the torch to Ziggler in a show of respect.
#1 – Daniel Bryan
Who doesn’t love a good comeback win at the Royal Rumble? It’s worked for superstars such as Steve Austin, Triple H, Edge, John Cena and more and it would work perfectly for Daniel Bryan. Bryan just had a rough year where both he and the fans honestly had no clue as to whether he would be able to wrestle again. This time last year Daniel Bryan was without question the hottest thing the wrestling business had seen in many years. The fans are still just as enthusiastic about Daniel Bryan and a Royal Rumble win paired with a WWE Championship victory at WrestleMania pretty much writes itself.
Daniel Bryan is on the road to redemption and we would love to see him face Brock Lesnar in a David vs Goliath story or possibly a SummerSlam rematch with John Cena on the grandest stage of them all.
Those are our picks for great Royal Rumble winners. Who do you want to see win the Royal Rumble?
