4 Reasons Why Kevin Owens Is The Villain WWE Deserves

When Kevin Owens debuted in NXT, he moved right to the top of the ladder. He quickly seems to be doing the same exact thing on the WWE main roster. They say that the cream rises to the top and Owens is rising at a meteoric pace. He’s on track to become WWE’s top villain in no time at all and these are the reason why we believe it’s a perfect fit.

#4 – His Offensive Style

Kevin Owens is a unique talent. Fans on the Internet often enjoy making comments such as “Owens is a fat loser lolz!” and there’s no denying that he might not be in the best shape. But that’s what makes his offense that much more fun to watch. Seeing a guy with a beer gut jump from the middle rope to the top rope and do a moonsault is pretty impressive. How many of you out there with beer guts could pull off a similar feat?

He’s a big man that can fly, but he can also brawl and he’s got plenty of power moves in his arsenal. Owens is right at home in the ring whether he’s wrestling Neville, Ziggler or Cena you can guarantee that he has what it takes to go toe to toe with any of them. His offensive style makes him somewhat unpredictable and a good villain is always one step ahead of his opponent.

#3 – He’s A Huge Jerk

There’s no denying that Kevin Owens is a huge jerk. He’s definitely not the type of guy you want to hang out and have a beer with. He’s the type of guy you want to stay away from because you never quite know when he’s going to stab you in the back.

Villains are always going for the cheap heat by making fun of how the audience looks or maybe insulting their favorite sports team. Kevin Owens however isn’t just out to make people feel bad, he’s out to make them feel pain. You just never know who he’s going to attack at any given moment. He could be behind you right now getting ready to hit a Pop-Up Power Bomb and you won’t know until it’s too late.

#2 – He’s A Loner

During his time in NXT and WWE so far, Kevin Owens has played the loner role quite well. Sure he has a loose association with Triple H because Triple H booked him in a match against Cena, but Kevin Owens is calling his own shots.

It’s pretty common for a heel to have a stable backing him up or an evil authority figure pulling their strings, but Kevin Owens so far has gone into business for himself. This makes it that much more terrifying when he tries to injure someone because his motivation seems to be the fact that he truly enjoys it. Owens is a man that turned on his best friend in order to move to the front of the line in NXT and a man that will brutally beat down his best friend for his own personal gain is a man you should be afraid of.

#1 – He’s A Believable Threat

Letting Kevin Owens beat John Cena clean during his debut match in WWE was a smart move by the powers that be. Owens was immediately established as a credible threat and that one victory made him a believable bad guy. Sure he lost to Cena during the rematch, but we already know for a fact that Kevin Owens is capable of beating WWE’s top dog because he’s already done it.

Owens has a good chance at becoming a legitimate tough guy type villain if WWE stays the course with him. More clean victories over the top names of recent years will do wonders for Kevin Owens in the years ahead. He’s already a believable threat, WWE just needs to keep that momentum going and it will only be a matter of time until Owens is the man to beat in the WWE.
