4 Current Superstars Who Are Proving That Anything Can Happen In The WWE

The WWE is a place where anything can happen at any time. You just never know when your favorite WWE Superstar from the past is going to return, or when your favorite current star is going to win that championship belt they’ve been after. Although fans may feel that WWE can be predictable at times, the truth is that we should always expect the unexpected.

Here are 4 WWE Superstars that are currently proving anything can happen in the WWE.

#4 – Natalya

People have been talking about how Natalya is one of the best wrestlers on the WWE roster for a long time, but she hasn’t been featured all that prominently on WWE programming in recent years. Her fans have been hoping to see her get title opportunities, but with the Divas Revolution and so many great up and coming women in the WWE, it seemed like she would be passed over forever.

Natalya was left out of the Divas Revolution, but she quietly sat on the sidelines and waited for her turn. Natalya has proved in the past that she can put on great matches with Charlotte and now the two are wrapped up in a heated feud over the WWE Women’s Championship.

It’s been a while since Natalya has had an opportunity like this and she’s living proof that sometimes good things actually do come to those who wait.

#3 – Zack Ryder

Zack Ryder has had a weird WWE career. Back in 2011 he became one of the most popular Superstars on the roster thanks to his YouTube show. The hype was enough to earn him a US Title run, but in the months that followed Zack Ryder fell further and further down the card and pretty much disappeared from TV. Things looked pretty grim for Zack Ryder for a while.

Fast forward to 2016 and things are looking very different for Zack. He recently shocked the world when he won the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 32. Nobody in their right mind thought that Zack would win the belt at WrestleMania, and that’s what made it so great. A few weeks ago if you told the world that Zack Ryder would be winning a title at WrestleMania wrestling fans everywhere would have called you crazy.

Sure, Zack lost the belt the next night, but at least he’s in a feud with The Miz and he’s being featured on TV. It’s tough to say how things will go for Zack Ryder from here on out, but at the end of the day he got his WrestleMania moment at WrestleMania 32 and no one can ever take that away from him.

#2 – AJ Styles

It was only a few short months ago that rumors started hitting the Internet saying that AJ Styles was WWE bound. And only a few short months before that wrestling fans were talking about how AJ Styles would never work in the WWE and how even if he did, WWE wouldn’t use him right. Here we are now and not only is AJ Styles one of WWE’s most popular Superstars, he’s also the number 1 contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

AJ Styles has had a long career and even he has said that at one time a WWE run didn’t look like it was ever going to happen. But now he’s one of the top stars on the roster and it looks like his future with WWE is so damn bright that he’s going to have to wear shades 24/7.

#1 – Shane McMahon

Shane McMahon has been a breath of fresh air on Monday nights, but let’s not forget that only a few short months ago it seemed like Shane McMahon was never going to return to the WWE. Most fans hoped that Shane would return someday, but the wrestling world stopped holding its collective breath years ago. But Shane shocked us all when he returned a few months ago, and then he shocked us again when he jumped off of the top of the cage during his Hell in a Cell match with The Undertaker.

Sure, Shane is a McMahon, so his return was inevitable at some point, but it’s still a nice reminder that anything can happen in the WWE. Now Shane is back and he’s been running Raw for a few weeks much to the delight of the fans. Shane may not be doing the booking himself, but the show feels fresh as of late and that’s a good thing.

How long will Shane be sticking around? The answer to that question remains to be seen, but if the fans get their way, Shane will have a presence on Monday nights for years to come.
