Ever since CM Punk announced that he had signed with UFC, fans have been dying to know who he’s going to fight. Now he officially has an opponent. Mickey Gall earned the right to fight CM Punk when he submitted his opponent Michael Jackson in 45 seconds at UFC Fight Night 82.
“I want to be fed, I’m hungry. Feed me CM Punk, please!” Mickey Gall said after the fight.
CM Punk approached Gall in the octagon and the two shook hands.

Mickey Gall is now 2-0 and he will go on to face CM Punk at a date to be determined. Dana White has said he’s thinking the bout will take place at UFC 199 in June. But Punk has said he would rather do the fight at UFC 200 in July. Punk has called himself a “lottery ticket” and he’s not that far off. 24 year old Mickey Gall will be able to instantly make a name for himself if he’s able to knock out CM Punk in the first round like he’s predicted.
“I finish CM Punk. I’m not sure if I knock him out or I submit him, but I think it ends and I think it ends in the first round. I’m supremely confident. I think I’m made for this fight, it’s a dream opportunity. I did think I’d get to the UFC one day but didn’t think it would happen this quick but I’m extremely ready. If this comes to fruition, I’ll be a happy man.” Gall told Fox Sports recently.
